Janis toured a year as a singer with the Miss NY State USO troupe. She spent a summer at the Dorset Theatre Festival in Dorset, Vermont as an apprentice. Janis' professional debut was as Sally Bowles in Cabaret opposite acclaimed Baritone Dwayne Croft. Janis trained at HB studios in NYC with Bill Hickey & Uta Hagen and at the Lee Strasberg studios. She is based in London and has 2 children with actor Tim Ahern.
